Who is responsible for your data

MLJ, SASU, a company registered in Paris, France under SIREN 934 769 837, publishes LeashReport and decides how the information described here is used. The publication director is Jimenez Julien. You can reach a real person at jimenezjulien42@gmail.com for any question or request about your data, and that address is monitored every business day.

What the contact form collects

The demo request form on the home page is the only place this website asks you for anything. It collects exactly these fields: name (your full name), email (your work email address), company (your walking business name), role (your role on the route, chosen from a list), request (whether you want a demo, a quote or help getting set up), size (how many walkers you have on the road), message (what you write about your midday block) and consent (the box you tick to let us reply).

Three hidden fields travel with the submission: form-name, which routes the message; subject, which labels it in the inbox; and recipient, which is the publisher address the message is sent to. A field called bot-field sits in the form invisibly as a spam trap. A human never sees it and never completes it, so anything arriving with that field populated is discarded automatically.

Your web browser and the host also record ordinary technical data with any request to a website: an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested and the browser identification string. Netlify keeps that for its own security and load purposes.

Why we process it, and on what legal basis

Form submissions are used for one purpose: to answer you, to prepare the demo you asked for, and to follow up on that conversation. We do not add you to a newsletter, we do not build an advertising profile, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with any third party for their own marketing.

Under the European General Data Protection Regulation, the legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, together with our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry we received. Under United States state privacy laws, the processing is what those laws call a business purpose: replying to a request you initiated. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to the address above, and that withdrawal does not affect anything already done lawfully before it.

How long submissions are kept

Contact form submissions are kept for 24 months from the date of the last message in the exchange, then deleted. If the conversation turns into a subscription, the record is kept for as long as the account exists and afterwards for the periods French accounting law requires for commercial records. You can ask for deletion earlier and we will act on it, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep a specific document.

Who processes and stores the data

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. Netlify Forms receives, processes and stores contact form submissions on our behalf before they are forwarded by email to the publisher. Netlify acts as a processor under our instructions and under its own data processing terms. Email correspondence that follows is held in the publisher's mailbox.

No other company receives data collected through this website. There is no customer relationship platform behind the form, no advertising pixel, and no data broker in the chain.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third party analytics scripts. There is no tracking pixel, no social network widget that phones home, and no cross site identifier. The only JavaScript file the site loads is our own, served from this domain, and it does nothing but open menus, reveal sections, run the FAQ accordion and check the form before it is sent. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts so the pages render in Comfortaa and Catamaran, which means the font service sees the technical request data described above.

International transfers

The publisher is established in France and the host is established in the United States, so data submitted through this site is transferred to and stored in the United States. Those transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission, which Netlify includes in its data processing agreement, together with the technical measures applied to data in transit and at rest.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Residents of the European Union and the United Kingdom also have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority, which in France is the CNIL.

Residents of California may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion or correction, and are protected against discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, but a request will be confirmed in writing. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Virginia have comparable rights of access, correction, deletion and portability, along with the right to appeal a refusal. An appeal can be sent to the same address and will receive a written answer.

To exercise any of these rights, write to jimenezjulien42@gmail.com with enough detail to find your record, normally the email address you used. We answer within 30 days. An authorized agent may act for you if you confirm the mandate in writing.

Children

LeashReport is sold to businesses and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something through this site, write to us and it will be deleted promptly.

Security

Data in transit is protected with HTTPS across the whole site. Access to form submissions is limited to the publication director. Passwords for the hosting and email accounts are unique and protected by two factor authentication. If a breach ever affects your information, you will be told without undue delay, along with what happened and what to do about it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting people who have already written to us will also be sent by email. The current version is dated March 2, 2026.
